  • A-squared regularly support projects throughout the majority of the RIBA life cycle, from early concept support to undertaking the detailed design of geotechnical elements, both for permanent and temporary works.

    This work is diverse and includes early stage site walkovers, detailed soil-structure assessments, third party asset protection services and impact assessments, geo-hazard identification and risk management, and detailed geotechnical and structural design of bearing piles, embedded pile walls, slopes, soil nails and ground anchors, in addition to working platforms and temporary works structural checks.

    With a wealth of site and design experience the A-squared team adopt a thorough and pragmatic approach when solving anything from standard foundation urban development projects to complex geotechnical engineering problems, to ensure that the final engineering solution is efficient and buildable.

  • The A2 Group is a collection of companies which encompass various branches of the wider geotechnical engineering industry. What started as A-squared Studio Engineers in 2015, with a focus on geotechnical design consultancy services, and extending into the geo-environmental space over time, expanded with the inception of A2 Site Investigation in 2018. A2 Site Investigation enabled the A2 Group to undertake contracting works. They initially started with a team of geologists and engineers carrying out ground and site investigation works, eventually expanding also into structural and civils investigation work. In 2023 both A2 Maritime and A2 Advanced Monitoring were kickstarted and joined the A2 Group
